A practical workshop of 7 sessions in cooperation with Beit Liebling. The first lesson will take place on Yoma, November 8 The Yossi Banai Community Center, in cooperation with Beit Liebling, invites you to a workshop in which the children of the neighborhood will learn to connect to the space in which they live through research, critical and creative thinking. In the workshop, the children will acquire the development of critical and activist thinking by creating awareness and examining our ability to change and influence what exists around us. In the meetings, we will work outdoors and in the studio at the community center. We will go out to our neighborhood, to the familiar space with a new perspective. We will gather information using our senses: listening, observing and wandering. This is how we will get to know ways of researching the environment. How we observe the space around us, buildings, the public space, streets and gardens. How we listen to the space, and how the body moves within it from place to place. Through familiarity with these tools, we will study the neighborhood in detail, break down the familiar into shapes and colors, draw conclusions and discover what can be seen and understood anew in these ways.
