An experiential and practical workshop led by Daniel Tenenbaum Britten, an occupational therapist, deals with the stages of development in preparation for sitting: identifying readiness, common myths and what is important for parents to know. Participants will learn about intermediate positions and practice simple exercises to strengthen the shoulder girdle and core muscles. The workshop also deals with simple games that encourage coordination, balance, fine motor skills and attention, and ways to avoid unsafe seating and create a developmentally supportive environment. Suitable for babies from the age of four and a half months to independent settlement. The price for Givatayim residents is 25 NIS, and for non-residents 40 NIS. Givatayim has children with life-threatening allergies. Avoid bringing in foods that contain allergens, including nuts, peanuts, milk, eggs, and fish (gelatin), and be aware of the issue in the public space.
