The Fisherman and the Goldfish | The Festival of the Hour for Children and Youth Plays We Told takes place on a small fishing island in Greece whose inhabitants are all simple people, living modestly without all the innovations. Without televisions and without cars, a simple and pleasant life is everyone's friends and happy in their part. Until one day, the boy Esteban raises a shell from the sea and when he blows into it, a talking goldfish emerges from the sea. In exchange for his release, the goldfish promises to fulfill all of Esteban's wishes. When Estevan's friends and villagers discover the wonder of their requests grow, the humble island becomes crowded with cars, unnecessary objects and dirt in the sea and on the beaches. When Esteban realizes that the great greed of the residents causes damage to the environment, to good friendships, and almost kills Zahavon, he makes one last wish that guarantees a happy ending to the story.
