The Cinematheque's Cinema Club | Annual Class for Grades 6-9 Come and find out how to make films with us! Throughout the year we will learn the basics of cinematic language, starting with scriptwriting, photography, directing, editing, lighting, sound recording, effects, setting and more. Tuesdays 16:30-18:00 Grades 6-7 September to June Advisor: Assaf Goshen – Camera Obscura graduate and film teacher for those who dream of creating cinema – this is the place to start. In the class, we will delve into the cinematic language and work like a real production team: from developing an idea and writing a script, through directing, photography and sound recording, to editing and screening. Throughout the year, participants will experience a variety of professional roles, learn how to build a scene, design characters and convey ideas through cinema, and produce original short films. The class combines practical creativity with viewing and analysis of footage from the world of cinema, and is designed for curious, creative teenagers and movie lovers who want to develop their abilities and tell stories that stay with the audience.
