The Wizard of Oz | The Festival of the Hour for Children and Youth Plays An adaptation of the wonderful classic by Frank Baum. The play tells the story of Dorothy, a sweet and innocent girl and her beloved dog Toto, who are swept away by a cyclone storm to the distant and magical Land of Oz. Dorothy, whose only desire is to return home, meets a good witch who advises her to go to the great wizard from the city of Emerald in the hope that he will be able to fulfill her wish to return to her family. The path to the magician turns into an adventure journey in a fantasy land. During it, Dorothy meets funny and exciting characters who seek to use the magician's abilities to fulfill their heart's desires: Kashi – the lovable and brainless scarecrow, whose only desire is to gain wisdom. Tin Man – The Tin Man who dreams of winning the heart in order to feel and love. Aryeh – The cowardly lion who is looking for courage. The friends' journey is full of obstacles, during which they will learn about friendship, helping others, kindness and love of home and family. What awaits them in the City of Emerald? What will they find out about the Wizard from the Land of Oz? Will they succeed in fulfilling their wishes?
